SLAMMING BIG BASS IN ORIENT

Kat's at it again

We headed out to Orient last night for some BIG BASS
 on the Sundowner.
Capt. John was in a really good mood
the weather was warm and the seas were flat
At 1st we trolled near Plum Gut light house
for a few big chopper blues.
Then we moved on to greener pastures
I was the 1st to hook into a Big fish and this one turned out
to be the Big Keeper of the night
This fish was over 30 lbs Big and Fat
But our night was just beginning.
We switched over to
buck tails and proceeded to
Bang Big Bass.
As the night wore on the fishing got better and better
We had double, triple and even 4 fish on in one drift.
We easily limited out and were throwing back 20 to 30 lbs Bass

At one point Kat caught 3 30 lbs bass in a row

the fish was so heavy she could hardly lift it but she was
able to throw it back over the rail
It was just one of those great night that ended with
Pablo 7 Bass
Nappi 11 Bass
Kat 9 Bass
Not sure on the other guys numbers but we all caught several fish
releasing about 20 some odd fish.
Thank you Capt. John Sining

GRAND SLAM IN MONTAUK

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnA_nJgML-c
Grand Slam Video

Captain Adrian Mason

You may remember Capt. Adrian

He caught this BIG FAT 35 LBS BASS on my boat in July

He even made the local newspapers.

Well he's a charter Captain in Montauk

And has been promising to take me out fishing.
Well this past Sunday was my chance.
When I arrived in Montauk 7 Am Sunday morning we had a stiff
NW wind blowing 15 to 20 enough to make the lines on the rods
sing like an old horror movie from the 1950's lol
As we got up to the Montauk Light house we were
Greeted by thousands of Blitzing Blue Fish

Everyone caught many, fish. I even nailed a short bass
by trying to stay under Neath them using a 2.5 oz White Buck tail
So we stayed there 4 about 1 hour or so
till the tide slowed down
Then we decided to go catch some Porgies
and they were ferocious 2 at a time
and I'm talking HUGE!!!

We caught so many we were throwing them back, easy 40 to 50
Once the tide started to move again we had about
10 real nice size Porgies in the live well.
We worked the rips for several Blue Fish and a few throw back Bass
and Capt. Adrian caught this keeper Striped Bass
on a Green/White Buck tail

With this being the last fish of the day we were able
to Complete a Grand Slam.
Meaning we caught 3 types of fish.
We actually caught
4 Striped bass
2 Sea Bass
40 to 50 Porgies releasing all but 20
I don't know how many blues lol
a few begall's
and oh 1 sand shark lol

It was Pure Montauk MADNESS

HOLY MACKEREL!!!

Sept 8 2009

landed this beautiful Spanish Mackerel
today outside Moriches Inlet
After seeing the rough seas forecast for the few days
I decided to head out this afternoon(5pm) alone.
I noticed a few splashes in my canal, so I got out my cast net and waited.
I motored to the mouth of the canal turned off the engines and just
as the Pea-Nut bunker jumped behind my boat I made a perfect cast and netted around 100 bunkers with 1 throw .
The net was so heavy I had a tough time pulling it over the side
I dumped about 75 in the well and let 25 plus go.
I headed over by Patter Squash and saw Dave (Arrestspot) and his family
I asked him if he needed any bunkers he said yes so I loaded his well with
25-35 bunkers .
Now I was off to the inlet !!!
I drifted my Bunkers all over Inside and out and only had 1 blue fish to show for it?
So I decided to try the outside of the breakers in 15' of water.
All of a sudden I see a torpedo shaped fish come flying out of the water
a few feet from my boat. I have the peanut all ready in the water and I was casting a 1.5 oz White Buck tail with Yellow Josh. No hook ups so I changed
over 2 a 005 diamond Jig with a terrible hook and Bam I'm on with a
good size Spanish Mackerel .
This is my 1st ever Spanish Mackerel so I made sure she was not
going to get away and landed the fish with no problems.
I hooked up again but she spit the hook???
Then more Blue fish joined the feast and began blitzing all around my boat
many as you wanted I took 3 home releasing about 7 more before calling it a day.
I got to see a beautiful sunset and stayed till it was dark but couldn't catch more than a few more blue fish so I decided to head in...
Great day to be on the water flat calm seas no wind warm temps

Thank You
